A Healthy Way to Sit
Sitting for long periods of time places your body at risk for back and neck alignment issues as well as posture problems down the line.
Many of us know that sitting is not the healthiest way to spend the majority of our day. Studies around the world have even shown that we sit for an average of 7.7 hours every day. But we cannot help it. The five minute stretching breaks may temporarily relieve the pressure on your neck, but that pressure comes right back as soon as you get back to work. We then suffer from pain traveling all the way from our neck to our lower back as we sink into the infamous shoulder slouch. Sound familiar?
There is an answer to your sitting dilemma! Healthy sitting engages the back, abdominal and pelvic muscles in order unconsciously keep you active while you work. While you may not be able to reduce you sitting time, try out the Sissel SITFIT and avoid future back problems, encourage better posture and even better your balance. Instead of placing unwanted stress on your lower back, try placing the SITFIT underneath you and let the air-filled pads exercise your lower back and pelvic floor.
